The Left will not let go of the abortion issue, the leaders of the smallest of the coalition partners declare. This is a reaction to Donald Tusk's declaration at the opening of the Campus Polska Przyszłości that there is no way in the current Sejm to carry out the legalization of abortion in the version proposed by the Left and the Civic Coalition. From the Prime Minister's words, it can be inferred that he is inclined to withdraw from proceeding with the legalization projects, possibly allowing one more attempt to be made by the Sejm to carry out a project depenalizing aiding and aborting, albeit in a watered-down version, or perhaps simply improved, in view of the project that the Sejm rejected in July.
Tusk is a realist and does not want to commit forces and time to projects that are doomed to failure in advance. It is all the more strange that, being aware of the distribution of votes in the Sejm (the average Kowalski was aware of the lack of a majority for legalization from the beginning of the term; unfortunately, politicians in the current government coalition, probably deliberately, preferred to point out, as the only or at least the main obstacle, the veto of President Andrzej Duda), from the beginning he did not focus on one task...
